MS Society Neurological Information Day PDF Print E-mail

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland are hosting a Neurological Information Day for health care professionals in the Dublin Airport Clarion Hotel, Co. Dublin on Friday the 10th of September 2010.  The focus of the day will be the role of communication in the rehabilitation process for people with progressive neurological conditions. The day is primarily directed at General Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, and anyone who has an interest in neurorehabilitation and progressive neurological conditions.

John Treacy launches M4H 'Be Heart Wise and Take Exercise' CampaignTo help people to start to become more active to improve their heart health, the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) launched their annual Move4Health Campaign, entitled "Be Heart Wise, Take Regular Exercise" on the 29th & 30th May at the National Community Games Finals in Athlone.

Royal College of Surgeons Ireland - Postgraduate Diploma / Degree of Master of Science in Neurology and Gerontology

Programme Description

The School of Physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland invites applications for the Postgraduate Diploma / Degree of Master of Science in Neurology and Gerontology for the 2010 - 2012 session. The programme will be delivered over a period of two years on a part-time basis and is a taught course.

Programme Content and Duration:

The programme aims to develop the participant's professional knowledge base, skills and understanding required by physiotherapists to fulfil their role in the rehabilitation of neurological and elderly patients in the context of changing health care services. Because we believe that excellence in the clinical area requires an equivalent expertise in research skills, the programme will have a particular emphasis on research.

Application Procedure and Contact Details:

The closing date for applications is Friday June 25th 2010.

This is a very strict deadline and the course may not run if insufficient applications are received.
