Marathon participants: Take 5 steps to avoid injury warns ISCP PDF Print E-mail

WALKERS, runners and amateur athletes are being advised to make sure they have warm clothes at hand both at the start – and crucially  at the end - of next Monday’s Dublin Marathon by healthcare experts who have attended the marathon for many years.

Chartered physiotherapist, Adrian Copeland, who heads a team of over 30 fully-qualified and student physiotherapists that have provided treatment and advice to marathon participants for the last 13 years, says that in his experience of the marathon, many of the people who take part suffer acute pain and injury that can be avoided.

Dublin Marathon PDF Print E-mail

The ISCP will be present again at the finish line of the 2011 Dublin Marathon in October, where the ISCP will have a cool down marquee located for athletes at the finish area.

A number of Chartered Physiotherapists will be on hand to assist athletes at the Marathon Expo in the RDS on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th and on Race Day itself on Monday 31st October to assist and advice you after your race. 

The ISCP look forward to seeing you during the 2011 Dublin Marathon.
