Win a €500 Bursary for your idea for World Physiotherapy Day
World Physiotherapy Day (WPD) is on September 8th, and once again the ISCP is at the forefront of promotion of this important day for Physiotherapy. This year’s theme will be Physical Activity for Life. Focus will be placed on the need for healthy adults to be physically active throughout their lifespan, and the role of physiotherapists to keep people moving.
This year we want to reach even further and do even more, with social media being at the heart of this campaign, and that is why we need your help. We are looking for exciting ideas and are offering a €500 bursary for the winning one! So if you are media savvy then we are looking for you to become our Campaign Champion for World Physiotherapy Day 2017.
We are inviting applicants to submit a presentation outlining a core idea around the tag line of Physical Activity for Life. We need ideas around activity; ongoing and life-long; going from sedentary life to walking; raising the bar from walking to running; jogging to competing or taking up a new activity. The activity should not just be for the day, but an activity for life. This idea should culminate in World Physiotherapy Day. Applicants should show how this will be promoted through social media. This should be easy for physiotherapists and the public to engage with no matter where they are on September 8th. Think you know the next ice bucket challenge? Then we want to hear from you.
Last year the title was "Add Years to Life" and the ISCP, together with hospitals, privatepractices and primary care clinics, came together with the help of our patients and promoted physiotherapy countrywide. Further information on this and previous campaigns can be found on the ISCP website here or on the WCPT website here.
The deadline has been extended and is now Thursday June 1st. The format is approximately 250 words background with a maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides. The applicant must have availability to present to ISCP in event of being in the final group. The successful applicant will play a key role in running the campaign with the ISCP on the day. There is also the opportunity to publish an article on your winning idea in Firsthand Magazine.
Please submit your presentation to firstname.lastname@example.org citing World Physiotherapy Day Competition in the subject line.
