Learning Objectives

By the end of this course participants will have developed their knowledge and skills in the examination and rehabilitation techniques for the shoulder following surgery from early stage rehabilitation through to elite level sports. 

Event Description

This course will cover examination and rehabilitation techniques for the shoulder following surgery from early stage rehabilitation through to elite level sports. This course will also cover techniques for dealing with the painful sporting shoulder.

Presenter Profile

Marc Beggs

Marc graduated from the University of Ulster in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Marc Beggs began working in Professional Rugby with Ulster Rugby’s Sub-academy/Academy in 2013. He moved to Wales to take up the position of Senior Regional and Academy Physiotherapist with the Welsh Rugby Union. Marc has now been with Munster rugby for over 2 years as the Lead Academy Physiotherapist and combines his time with his position as Irish U19s Physiotherapist.

 

Keith Thornhill

Keith has been working as a first team physiotherapist with Munster Rugby since 2014 season working as team physiotherapist. Since graduating in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield, Keith has worked in a variety of roles in the private and sporting sectors in Ireland, England and Australia .Keith has completed a Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) at Edith Cowan University, Australia in 2016.
