Chris Is A Qualified Physiotherapist And Strength & Conditioning Coach. He Specialises In Integrating The Practices Of These Professions To Improve Health And Physical Performance For A Variety Of Demographics.

Split across two mornings, this online course explains the theoretical underpinning of clinical strength training and its applied usage to special populations. Delivered on zoom, this online workshop also includes a practical skills component which applies clinical strength training to a variety of case study examples.
Day 1 (8.30 am - 12.00 pm) :
The Changing Demands of Healthcare-Managing co-morbidities and the ageing population from the perspective of public and private sector.
Strength and Conditioning Techniques- Develop an understanding of resistance training techniques currently being used in MSK, Neurological and Cardiorespiratory rehab.
Adaptation to Different Body Systems- Response of different body systems and tissues to resistance training.
Day 2 (8.30 am - 12.00 pm):
Exercise Prescription and Program- Design Develop an understanding of how to manipulate dose response and training variables for different clinical conditions.
Practical Skills-Exercise Techniques, regression/progression of exercise and coaching methods applied to clinical case studies. Implementing Strength Training in Practice Understanding individual, cultural, environmental and organisational factors that can influence the delivery of strength training.
