2 hour webinar on suitable exercises and education for Pregnancy related Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP).
This webinar is supported with access to a comprehensive educational video library.
Currently the research on Pelvic girdle pain is non-specific about the type of exercises to include.
This can lead to is uncertainty and fear avoidance. Therefore a reluctance for women to continue to exercise. We know 1/10 in women will develop chronic pain as a result of pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain.
Increased pain intensity while pregnant and low self-efficacy (feeling like you can't do anything about it) are risk factors for developing chronic pelvic pain.
A silver lining of transferring our classes to Zoom was the capacity to deliver a specific type of class for these women. We created our Finding Relief class that would challenge and empower these women to manage their symptoms. The classes also include specific content for myofascial release.
The intention of this 2-hour webinar is to share the type of exercises and education that really worked for women with PGP and supported them to keep moving until the end of the pregnancy.
This webinar is also supported with 2 months membership to our education website, which includes videos of all the exercises, learning materials and resources we recommend to women.
As physios/health/fitness professionals you will be undaunted, confident and informed around supporting and empowering these women, who actually need us the most.
