Presenter Details Anne Hanley and Roisin Carroll are both Chartered Physiotherapists.
Anne is the founder of Reform Physiotherapy and Pilates and has been using Reformer Pilates as part of her rehabilitation for patients for over 9 years now. Anne originally did Reformer Pilates training in Melbourne, and returned to Ireland in 2012 to further her education in UCD Musculoskeletal MSc.
 
Anne loves using up to date evidence based practice to treat her patients in private practice and has found the use of Clinical Pilates to be an invaluable tool in treating people successfully over the years.
 
Roisin Carroll has been working at Reform Physiotherapy since 2016 and has extensive knowledge and experience with Reformer Pilates in a clinical setting. Roisin has a special interest in Women's health, and sports injuries. 
Roisin loves treating Musculoskeletal and Women's health issues through Clinical Pilates and finds it to be an effective tool to empower her patients to take control over their own rehabilitaiton and avoid over reliance on passive treatments.

This Reformer Clinical Pilates Teacher Training course aims to provide the knowledge to participants required to provide prescriptive exercise through Clinical Pilates for individuals or a group setting. 

 

This Reformer Pilates course will be based on up to date evidence on exercise science. This course aims to ensure each participant gains a deep understanding of how to safely and effectively use the Reformer Pilates Machine and an in depth knowledge of the teaching principles needed to deliver Clinical Reformer Pilates to the general public. 

Participants will have a pre-requisite to be a qualified health care professional or strength and conditioning coach or exercise physiologist, and hold a degree in such a profession. Therefore, upon entering this course, participants are expected to have a pre-existing high level of education in anatomy and physiology, injury and rehabilitation, exercise prescription and delivery of exercise classes. 

The full training takes 63 hours.  

  • 32 full contact hours. 
  • 20 self directed learning hours. 
  • 10 observation/supervised teaching hours after the training has commenced. 
  • 1 examination hour.
