Fiona Collins

Private Practice

A Chartered Physiotherapist and Licensed Acupuncturist, treating Back and Neck Pain, Joint and Soft-tissue Injuries, Sports Injuries, Feet and Orthotics, and Elderly Care.

,

I graduated in 1987 as a Physiotherapist in Minnesota, USA where I initially worked in a Community Hospital moving on after two years to a Harvard Teaching Hospital in Boston treating a wide spectrum of injuries, traumas and orthopaedic cases. In 1992, I returned to Ireland to begin my own private orthopaedic practice in Bandon, West Cork, having spent the previous decade in the United States gaining my Bachelor’s Degree and working in a variety of teaching hospitals in the Boston and Michigan areas. In 1993, I also began working for the HSE at Mount Carmel Hospital, Clonakilty, in the care of the elderly. Since 2006, I have concentrated on developing a state of the art practice at Riverview Shopping Centre, Bandon. In June 2013, I opened a second clinic at Clonakilty GAA grounds, Dunmanway Road, Clonakilty. I am keen to emphasise, that in addition to the sporting members of the community, I am equally interested in treating non-sporting patients in the Bandon, Clonakilty, and surrounding townlands.

,

My private practice allows me to interact on a personal level with my patients and share my 30 years of physiotherapy and my acupuncture experience. The clinics are conveniently located with ample off-road parking and flexible evening and lunchtime appointments.
