Children’s Disability Network Team

Coolock, Ballymun and Coastal*

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Physiotherapist to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.

                                                  

The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family centred practice.

 

The successful candidate must have the following:

 

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
  • Fully registered or registration in process with CORU.
  • A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience with two years in the area of paediatric disability.
  • Proven experience of family centred services and team working.
  • Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the management of children with complex needs arising from a disability.
  • Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Training and CPD relevant to the role:
    • motor management,
    • exercise and health promotion,
    • post graduate degree,
    • Preliminary Team Assessment/ Assessment of Need, etc.
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a car
