2x 1 WTE Basic Grade Physiotherapist

Children’s Disability Network Team-

Kilbarrack and Coastal*

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a basic grade Physiotherapist to support children who present with complex needs arising from a disability, and their families.

                                                  

The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family centred practice.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
  • Fully registered or registration in process with CORU.
  • Proven post qualification or clinical placement experience working with children with complex needs arising from a disability.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.
  • Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
  • Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including ASD, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
  • Experience in the area of motor management with a recognised course completed.
  • Experience in the area of health promotion and exercise.
  • Previous experience related to Preliminary Team Assessment/ Assessment of Need.
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a car.
