Full Time Basic Grade or Senior Physiotherapist (depending on experience)

Dogs for the Disabled in collaboration with barefootphysio Cork are offering a unique opportunity for an energetic and passionate physiotherapist to join our growing teams as part of a new collaborative project.

The successful candidate will be employed by Dogs for the Disabled and based at barefootphysio Cork, where we have been developing a new Intensive Physiotherapy Service Model for children with physical disabilities and mobility limitations.

Dogs for the Disabled is a unique charity founded in 2007 to improve the lives of children and adults living with physical disabilities in Ireland. We deliver fully-trained Assistance Dogs to our disabled partners. The dogs that do not qualify as Assistance Dogs, go on to a career as a Therapy Dog. We have developed a huge regard for the role of physiotherapy in achieving mobility goals alongside our Assistance and Therapy Dogs and are delighted to have the opportunity to develop a new intensive physiotherapy service in collaboration with barefootphysio Cork.

barefootphysio is a private physiotherapy company specialising in Paediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Therapy and Neuro-Rehab for babies, children and adults of all ages and abilities. We have a nation-wide service offering clinic-based sessions and home visits from our locations in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Kerry.

The successful applicant will work as part of our multidisciplinary team of 6 other physiotherapists, a sports injury/manual therapist, and a personal trainer. Clinical supervision is provided by Ray McCarthy, Lead Physio @ barefootphysio Cork, whereas managerial supervision will be provided by Jennifer Dowler, CEO of Dogs for the Disabled.

40 working hours per week with 30 days annual leave per year. Whole-Time Equivalent PAYE Salary of €40-50,000 (Basic Grade) or €55-65,000 (Senior) depending on experience.
