MSK Physiotherapist in PP

We are looking for an MSK physiotherapist (Full and Part-time positions), to join our friendly enthusiastic physiotherapy team in the south Mayo region (35 mins from Galway). 

ESSENTIAL: CORU and ISCP registered. Fluent English speaker. Minimum of one year private practice or primary care experience (desirable but not essential). Up-to- date CPR and manual handling (desirable but can be arranged once appointed the post).

THE ROLE OF OUR PHYSIOTHERAPISTS:

The successful candidate should have excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills, have independent initiative but also be a good team player. As this is a manual therapy-based practice, experience in this area is essential in continuously striving to achieve the highest quality of care to meet our patient’s needs.

Other advantages include: 

(A) A sound understanding of Biomechanics and its application to rehabilitation

(B) Knowledge of evidence based BESPOKE exercise prescription 

(C) Knowledge and application of strength and conditioning and movement practices such as Pilates and Yoga and onward referral to same, where required.

The candidate would be responsible for the management of their own caseload. The clinic has an excellent rapport with local GPS, practice nurses and consultants when considering the MDT approach, ensuring where possible, the best clinical outcomes in the patient care pathway, is achieved.

The state-of-the-art clinic itself is located in South Mayo (35 mins from Galway). It has FREE parking, two large consultation suites and a fully equipped large Pilates/Yoga/ exercise prescription studio. We also offer services such as Falls prevention/Neurological Rehabilitation classes etc. Consideration is given to time and space in appointment scheduling.
