This is a unique opportunity to become part of Kilkenny's longest established and most experienced private physiotherapy team.
Hours can be negotiated and there is room for condensing work hours into four days if desired.
The clinic hosts a wide range of specialities in 3 locations. We have a fully equipped rehab gym, 2 pilates studios and 10 treatment areas.
We have a varied caseload with a mainly musculo-skeletal bias. We work with several teams including inter county hurling and football teams.
Our rehab gym is ideal for individual rehab work and strength and conditioning while our pilates studios lend themselves to a wide range of classes. There are opportunities here to develop classes for all patient groups, - children, the elderly, obesity, pregnancy and post pregnancy etc.
We have contacts with schools and have a transition year and national school programme in operation.
We also have links with many local nursing homes and elderly care facilities, and provide home visits for this cohort of clients.
We have an established pilates studio with a varied class range
We offer a unique biomechanical assessment and rehabilitation programme for children with MSK problems and offer neuro developmental input for neurological paediatric and adult clients.
Our clients come from all over Ireland, - Donegal to Cork, Wexford to Roscommon, and we have a few from the UK and international clients also.
We are currently developing our online presence and our virtual facilities, however our clinic will always be mainly and predominantly a hands on clinic where client contact and the benefits of face to face consults will always be recognised and maintained. This is achieved by marrying current evidence based practice with practice based evidence to provide individually tailored rehabilitation programmes to all our clients.
We strive to provide regular in-service training to all staff and seek engagement from all staff. The clinic manager Theresa McGinn is esteemed in her fields of expertise, and her main wish is to educate other therapists to see as she sees, feel as she feels, and develop their skills to an exceptional level.
Applicants must be dynamic, hard working, adaptable and enthusiastic about physiotherapy. They must be prepared to commit to working for a minimum of 2 years.
Desired requirements include as many of the following as possible: - Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Biomechanic or Orthotic prescription experience, Deep Dry Needling, Strapping and Sports, Paediatric, Neurological experience, tmj, vestibular and cervico-genic headache training a nice addition.
