Senior Physiotherapist – Permanent contract

We have exciting opportunities for Senior Physiotherapists to work as part of the Children Network Disability Team (CDNT 5).

 

Applications are invited for:

 

2 x Part Time (17.5 hours) permanent posts for CDNT-5  (Rosscourt, Lucan) or 1 WTE full time

 

The Organization:

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in the West Dublin area. Stewarts is the lead agency for the above newly established interdisciplinary CDNT teams, CDNT5 and 6, in line with Progressing Children’s Disability Services. These teams will be based in Stewarts Care, Palmerstown, and Rossecourt, Lucan.  These posts are for CDNT 5 Lucan.

Purpose of the Post:

We are seeking flexible, innovative, and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our newly established CDNT to provide quality, evidence-based, and family-centered Physiotherapy Service to children and young people (0 – 18 years) with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework.

This is an opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and be a positive influence at an exciting time in a newly established service.

To be considered for this post applicants must demonstrate the following:

 

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU – candidates must state CORU registration number on application, or CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number in the case of section 91 applicants.
  • All candidates must have three years full time (or equivalent) years post-qualification clinical experience.

 

 Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of disabilities.
  • Clinical experience of  24-hour postural management and orthotic assessment  is desireable
  • Evidence of CPD in area of physical and intellectual disability is desireable
  • Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring is desireable
  • Knowledge of all the relevant children and disability-related legislation and standards of practice.
  • Have a full driving license and access to a car.

Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health & Children Regulations and HSE consolidated pay scales: Physiotherapy Senior Scale - €54,677- €64,380 LSI
