The Role
We Are Seeking A Full Time Senior Physiotherapist To Join The Physiotherapy Team. This Role Will Cover Our Inpatient Service And Will Report To The Physiotherapy Manager. The Successful Candidate Will Provide Quality, Client Centred Physiotherapy Assessment And Treatment To Identified Client Groups As Directed By The Physiotherapy Manager.

The Role Holder Will Be Expected To:
Carry A Clinical Caseload Appropriate To The Post.
Have A Strong Knowledge Of Orthopaedics, And Also A Good Knowledge Of Respiratory And Neurological Conditions.
Be Responsible For Client Assessment, Development And Implementation Of Individualised Treatment Plans That Are Client Centred And In Line With Best Practice.
Be Responsible For Goal Setting In Partnership With Client, Family And Other Team Members As Appropriate
Ensure That Privacy And Dignity Of The Patient Is Respected At All Times.
Communicate And Work In Co-operation With Other Team Members, Along With Providing Guidance, Mentorship, Training And Support To Basic Grade And Weekend Physiotherapy Staff.
Develop Effective Communication With And Provide Instruction, Guidance And Support To Service Users, Family And Carers. Maintain Good Communications With Consultants, Nurses And Community Care Team Members To Support Early Patient Discharge And Adequate Follow – Up.
Document Client Records In Accordance With Professional Standards And Departmental Policies.
Maintain An Accurate Record-keeping System To Comply With Legal Requirements, To Support Clinical Studies And To Provide Information For Data Collection.
Participate In Review Meetings, Case Conferences, Ward Rounds Etc. As Appropriate.
Maintain Professional Standards Of Practice.
Participate In Clinical Audit Activities To Monitor Clinical Standards.
Implement Agreed Protocols, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines And Safe Professional Practice And Adhere To Relevant Legislation, Regulations And Standards.
Work In A Safe Manner With Due Care And Attention To The Safety Of Self And Others. Ensure Safe Working Environment For Patients And Report Immediately Any Adverse Incidents, Near Misses, Accidents Or Injuries Sustained By Staff Or Patients.
Report Any Malfunctions Or Defects In Equipment Or Any Such Suspicions Immediately To The Physiotherapy Manager.

The Person
Essential Requirements For The Ideal Candidate:
BSc Degree In Physiotherapy
Graduate Of A School Of Physiotherapy Accredited By The Irish Society Of Physiotherapists
Current Member Of CORU +/- ISCP
Minimum Of Four Years Post Qualification Experience Is Essential
Experience In Orthopaedics, Respiratory And Neurology
Participate In Evening On Call Rota (post Induction)
Flexibility/adaptability
Strong IT Skills
Highly Organised
