We are looking for a full-time Senior Physiotherapist to join our community-based service in Ballymun / Coolock and surrounding area. The job will involve providing physiotherapy interventions to adults with Intellectual Disability as part of a multi- disciplinary team in a range of community settings.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of Physiotherapy services to adults with intellectual disabilities under the direction of the Physiotherapy Manager and in collaboration with Physiotherapy team, clinical MDT and frontline colleagues.


The post will require some flexibility across the St. Michael’s House regions in response to service user needs. 


Essential Criteria;

  • Hold a Degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists,
  • Be registered with CORU
  • Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience working as a physiotherapist to include at least 6 months experience working as a Physiotherapist in adult intellectual disability services.
  • Have experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support service users, their families and staff.
  • Be committed to the delivery of quality, person-centred, community-based services
  • Have excellent communication, time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision.


      Desirable Criteria:

  • Training and CPD relevant to the role including,
    • Falls
    • Motor management
    • Dementia care
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a car.
