In the position of Senior Physiotherapist - Outpatients the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service at Blackrock Clinic. The Senior Physiotherapist will be responsible for conducting a clinical caseload as assigned by the manager and in accordance with service needs. Other aspects of the role are (but not limited to):

  • Assess and provide appropriate management of patients referred for out-patient physiotherapy
  • Develop and administer the highest quality of service by identifying and implementing operational procedures in line with best practice standards
  • Keep abreast of new developments, skills and technology ensuring ongoing job competence
  • Enhance skills in order to initiate and respond to changes in the work environment
  • Advise on the area needs, contributing to forward planning and development of the service
  • Participate in the week-end Rota (a) Cardiac or and (b) Orthopaedic
  • Act as a mentor for Physiotherapy colleagues
  • Demonstrate leadership and advice as required on research methodology
  • Lead in setting clinical standards using evidence based practice

To be considered for this role you need: 

  • A qualification recognised by the Registration Board at CORU
  • Post graduate courses relevant in Physiotherapy to clinical speciality
  • Display evidence of reflective practice, in-service training, courses attended and Clinical Governance gained
