Undergraduate Physiotherapy Pain Science Augmentation Project (UPPScAle) Research Assistant

The UPPScAle project objectives are focusing on harmonising pain science education across Europe by offering a roadmap for all academics in Bachelor Physiotherapy programmes seeking to ensure their graduates can meet the evolving challenges of pain management. The work packages include:
(i) Capacity Building: Two week long face to face Teach-the-Teacher Pain Schools will be developed to standardise and up-skill academic partners with both theoretical and hands-on skills development sessions. Materials developed for and during the Pain Schools Outputs will be incorporated into the Open Education Resource.
(ii) Addressing Limitations: An open education resource will be developed and maintained on key and
emerging pain science knowledge to ensure that Bachelor Physiotherapy programme curricula content can meet the evolving challenges of pain management across Europe and beyond.The research assistant will support the principal investigator, co-ordinating with the four international partners to develop, implement and disseminate results of the work packages, report writing and dissemination of project results.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the undertaking of a specified programme of pain science educational research under the supervision and direction of the Principal Investigator, including:
• Assisting with the development and implementation of project work package activities
• Report writing
• Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research in which you are engaged, including writing scientific articles, conference participation, website and social media updates as directed by and with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• Carry out administrative work associated with the programme of research, including maintenance information sharing platforms and day to day communication and set-up of regular meetings with the research team.
• Collaborate with and support activities of the Principal Investigator.
