President Gillian Walker takes up office
Gillian is our 14th President and she took up the chain at our Annual General Meeting.
At that meeting we bid farewell to Catherine McLoughlin, whose term as President has come to an end. Catherine’s leadership has been defined by grace, patience, and wit, and her closing address reflected her inclusive approach, acknowledging the contributions of members, volunteers, the Board, and staff. We thank Catherine for her dedication and leadership during her time in office.
We are delighted to welcome Gillian Walker as our new ISCP President for 2024–2026. A recipient of both a President’s Award and a Fellowship Award, Gillian has been a passionate advocate for the Society and brings a wealth of experience to the role.
We extend our sincere gratitude to outgoing Board members: Jenny Brannigan, Emer McGowan, Brid Quinn, Sinead Geraghty, and Theresa Geraghty for their service.
At the same time, we welcome Ann Rath, Sarah Dillon, Courtney Feike, and Gillian Healy to the Board.
We also thank our continuing Board members for their ongoing commitment: Jane Campbell, Emilie McGrath, Alison Holmes, Stuart Garret, Fionnuala King, Damien Rice, Nathan Cardy, Michelle McNamara, and Margaret Mason.
