Here's how some of our Chartered Physiotherapists marked World Physiotherapy Day on 8 October 2022
This year's theme was osteoarthritis (OA). Thank you to everyone who got involved!
- Hospital events - Many of our hospital-based members were delighted to get back to hosting in-person activities this year; they had quizzes, HIIT challenges, stands, sweets, squat challenges and information sessions from the experts on OA. Check out the pictures below. Some of these pictures featured on on twitter and facebook under the #tbt (throw back Thursday hashtag).
- Socials -We had activity under the hashtage #WorldPTDay to promote the webinar. We featured pictures on twitter and facebook under the #tbt (throw back Thursday hashtag).
- The theme for AskThePhysio was osteoarthritis. #AskThePhysio is our monthly theme-based social media campaign across insta, twitter and facebook and resources for physios are hosted on our AskThePhysio website.
- A special leaflet was produced on OA myths and is free to download.
- Webinar - We had a really successful webinar on 7 Osteoarthritis Myths with Dr Clodagh Toomey and Dr Helen French. We partnered with Arthritis Ireland and 400+ people registered for the event so the interest and recognition was very high.
