Learning Objectives

Following the course participants should have a good working knowledge of the manual therapy techniques of Brian Mulligan Including Mobilization with Movement (MWM), NAG, SNAG, and taping for the upper quarter, cervical and thoracic spine. They should have an understanding of the current thinking on how these techniques work and when to apply them. The intended result is enhanced assessment and treatment skills applicable to spinal and extremity joints. The most important outcome is that patients will benefit from this new approach.

Event Description

Mulligan Concept Part A Upper Quarter – Peripheral Joints, Cervical and Thoracic Spine.
This two-day course presents the Mulligan approach to manual therapy for the cervical and thoracic spine as well as for the upper extremity. It includes lectures and lab time to give the participants a thorough and in-depth coverage of the Mobilization With Movement approach for the upper quarter. This unique approach to manual therapy was discovered and developed by Brian Mulligan F.N.Z.S.P. (Hon), Dip. M.T. from Wellington, New Zealand. This simple yet effective manual approach addresses musculoskeletal disorders with pain free manual joint techniques. These techniques are used to achieve symptom modification, restoration of function and abolition of pain.
