SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST (30 hours per week Monday to Friday)
CHILDVISION, The National Education Centre for Blind Children invites applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in respect of this position.
The role is best suited to a person who enjoys a varied and interesting working experience. It involves liaison with other professionals to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the clients and their families. The client group itself is quite varied in terms of age and needs - from infants to adolescents who have a visual impairment but in many cases, other disabilities.
Applicants must hold current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and eligible for CORU registration. The successful applicant will also have experience with the needs of a similar client population.
The postholder will report to the Director of Clinical Services and will be expected to (although not limited ):
· Take part in multidisciplinary team assessments on both preschool and primary school aged children
· Complete screening and plan appropriate intervention and programmes for children
· Assess and procure necessary equipment for children
· Plan and manage orthotics clinic as well as hip surveillance clinic for all students
