| Presenter Details | Jennie Cronin is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with over 25 years of postgraduate experience and a strong commitment to whole-person health. She holds an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Manchester and a Master’s degree with First Class Honours in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, Australia. In 2024, she completed a second Master’s in Applied Psychology (Positive and Coaching Psychology) at University College Cork, also graduating with First Class Honours. Jennie’s approach is rooted in clinical excellence and innovation. From 2012 to 2020, she pioneered St James’s Hospital’s first musculoskeletal triage clinic, working across Orthopaedics and Rheumatology. As a first-contact practitioner, she independently assessed and managed GP-referred patients from consultant waiting lists—introducing an advanced practice model that significantly improved access to timely diagnosis and treatment. Drawing on her dual expertise in physiotherapy and psychology, Jennie delivers truly integrated, person-centred care. A certified Stott Pilates instructor with extensive training in lifestyle medicine and coaching, she combines advanced diagnostic reasoning, manual therapy, and targeted exercise prescription with psychologically informed strategies that address mindset, behaviour change, and long-term resilience. Jennie has worked across hospital, academic, and private practice settings, with extensive experience in advanced clinical practice and education. Her work is grounded in evidence and guided by a deep belief in each person’s capacity not only to recover, but to grow beyond baseline—reaching their full health potential across all dimensions of wellbeing. |

Background:
Physiotherapists frequently work with complex biopsychosocial presentations where communication and psychological insight are critical. This workshop introduces practical skills blending physiotherapy with applied psychology, positive psychology and coaching principles. It aims to enhance meaningful clinical conversations, foster patient agency and support physiotherapists in addressing multidimensional aspects of health, pain and wellbeing. By equipping clinicians with tools for cognitive reframing, strengths-based engagement and emotional regulation, the course promotes better patient outcomes and clinician resilience.
