Why become a member?

The ISCP is the national professional organisation representing Chartered Physiotherapists in Ireland.  It is the voice of physiotherapy in Ireland. As a member-instigated organisation, it promotes and support all aspects of physiotherapy in Ireland.

State Registration

Physiotherapy is a regulated profession in Ireland. In order to work as a physiotherapist in Ireland you must be registered with CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professions in Ireland.

Being registered with CORU is a condition of using the title ‘physiotherapist’ or ‘physical therapist’, claiming to be an active member of the profession, and practising physiotherapy anywhere in Ireland.

To be a practising member of the ISCP, you have to be a registrant of CORU.

Are you eligible?

To become a practising member you must be currently registered with CORU and practising as a physiotherapist in Ireland

To become an associate member you must have previously been a practising member of the ISCP

To become a student member you must be studying an entry level physiotherapy programme, or a physiotherapist studying a post graduate physiotherapy-related programme, in one of the five universities in Ireland as recognised by the ISCP:
