To become a practising member you must be currently registered with CORU and practising as a physiotherapist in Ireland
To become a member in a non-practising category of membership you must currently be a member or have been a member previously in the practising category of membership.
Non-practising category of membership includes overseas and parental leave.
A retired category of membership is available for current members who are retiring.
To become a student member you must be studying an entry level physiotherapy programme, or a physiotherapist studying a post graduate physiotherapy-related programme, in one of the five universities in Ireland as recognised by the ISCP:
- Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
- Trinity College Dublin
- University College Dublin
- University of Limerick
- University College Cork (UCC)
Irish citizens studying outside of Ireland are eligible to become a student member.
There are two temporary categories of membership available for CORU applicants who are required to complete a Return to Practice (RTP) period, a Period of Adaptation (POA), or who are appealing a decision.
Approval of application is dependent on meeting the terms and conditions of membership.
