Am I eligible?

To become a practising member you must be currently registered with CORU. 

To become a practising member in the part time category of membership you must be currently registered with CORU and work an average of 18.5 hours or less a week. 

To become a member in a non-practising category of membership you must currently be a member or have been a member previously in the practising category of membership.

Non-practising category of membership includes overseas and parental leave. 

A retired category of membership is available for current members who are retiring. 

To become a student member you must be studying an entry level physiotherapy programme, in one of the universities in Ireland as recognised by the ISCP:

Irish citizens studying outside of Ireland are eligible to become a student member. 

There are two temporary categories of membership available for CORU applicants who are required to complete a Return to Practice (RTP) period, a Period of Adaptation (POA), or who are appealing a decision. 

Approval of application is dependent on meeting the terms and conditions of membership.
