Recognising Systemic Rheumatic Disease Beneath Routine Podiatry Care
Learning Outcomes:
Understand the landscape of rheumatology care and referral pathways within the HSE.
- Differentiate the lower limb and systemic signs of common rheumatological conditions.
- Recognise clinical mimics that look like rheumatic disease but are mechanical, dermatological, or infectious in origin.
- Formulate appropriate immediate questions, order targeted initial bloods/imaging, and identify clear referral triggers.
