He has also delivered more than 500 EPI education courses in 12 countries worldwide since 2012 and delivered at numberous international Strength & Conditoning conferences. More recently, he has worked with the Czech Republic FA delivered UEFA A and B Fitness Licences to football S&C coaches. |

Course Overview:
A Strength & Conditioning course for healthcare professionals interested in an evidence-based approach to strength and conditioning and/or exercise rehabilitation prescription. This three-day course is the first phase of the National Certificate in Strength & Conditioning (NCSC) qualification, the industry standard strength & conditioning qualification for fitness/healthcare professionals in Ireland.
Course Accreditation:
This course provides CEU's with NSCA and ACE professional membership associations.
Course Aims:
To provide participants with a practical, evidence-based approach to strength and conditioning coaching which will involve both lecture and practical based sessions.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the three days, participants will be able to:
- Conduct a movement screen and fitness assessment
- Gain a range of practical coaching skills
- Warm up protocol
- Acceleration speed
- Olympic lifting - clean & jerk
- Muscular power plyometrics
- ATP-CP energy system enhancement
- Formulate programs to improve strength endurance, hypertrophy, max strength, explosive strength and reactive strength
- Create programs to develop linear speed, multidirectional speed and speed endurance
- Devise a linear periodisation model for medium to long term athletic development
