Therapies used to treat underlying causes of symptoms:

,

,

Visceral Manipulation is a gentle hands-on therapy that works through the body's visceral system (the heart, liver, intestines and other internal organs) to alleviate abnormal tension or adhesions that affect the muscles, membranes, fasciae, bones and joints of the body. This helps restore normal, pain-free movement to the visceral and musculo-skeletal systems.

,

,

Muscle Energy Technique is a gentle technique to restore normal alignment to the joints of spine, pelvis and limbs. It relieves muscle spasm and tensions in connective tissues of the body.

,

,

Myofascial release uses gentle forces to release abnormal tensions in the connective tissues that surround all structures in the body. These abnormal tensions can have many causes though the most common causes would be trauma, inflammation, infection and surgery. It is especially effective at loosening scar-tissue.

,

,

Cranio-sacral Therapy works by helping the body's natural healing mechanisms release the negative effects of stress on the central-nervous system.

,

This is accomplished by utilizing as physiological body system called the cranio-sacral system, which helps maintain the the environment in which the central-nervous system functions. It consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord, extending from the bones of the head, face and mouth (otherwise known as the "cranium"), down to the tailbone area (otherwise known as the "sacrum"). The role of this system in the development and performance of the brain and spinal cord is so vital that an imbalance of dysfunction in this system can cause sensory, motor and/or neurological disabilities.

,

In adults, it is particularly beneficial to those with head, neck, or back injuries, as well as with stress-related dysfunction.
