I am a dedicated MSK physiotherapist with over 7 years of diverse clinical experience across India and the Maldives. I completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2017, followed by a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, specialised in Musculoskeletal in 2020, awarded with distinction.
My professional journey began in India, where I worked in a variety of private practice settings including a USA based JCI accredited set up. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with particular emphasis on chronic pain management, Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE), dry needling, manual therapy, EMG biofeedback therapy, shockwave therapy, and functional rehabilitation.
In 2023, I moved to the Maldives, where I took on the role of Clinical Team Lead in a busy multidisciplinary clinical setup. In this leadership role, I managed a diverse caseload involving musculoskeletal, neurological, and women’s health conditions, while also mentoring junior physiotherapists and coordinating care with a broader team of orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, rheumatologists, and general physicians.
I have extensive experience treating chronic musculoskeletal pain, including conditions such as postural dysfunction, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, myofascial pain syndromes, migraine etc. In the realm of women’s health, I’ve worked closely with antenatal and postnatal patients, addressing concerns like pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain, diastasis recti, and pelvic floor dysfunctions including urinary incontinence. I also regularly provide ergonomic assessments and workplace injury prevention advice, helping patients manage lifestyle factors contributing to chronic discomfort and pain. I’ve seen success in helping individuals return to work, sport, and daily activities—even after years of persistent pain. I am also a certified yoga instructor and often integrate principles of yoga into my rehabilitation programs, particularly for improving flexibility, posture, breath control, and body awareness.
My approach to physiotherapy is patient-centred, holistic, and grounded in current best practices. I believe strongly in educating patients, involving them in their own recovery, and using an integrated treatment model that blends hands-on techniques with movement-based rehabilitation and pain education.
