The An Saol Foundation, a registered charity and Section 39 service provider, is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist/Exercise Specialist to join our pioneering neurological rehabilitation and habilitation centre. Our Centre is Ireland’s first of its kind, offering long-term rehabilitation and habilitation for people living with severe Acquired Brain Injury (sABI).

Your Role

As a Physiotherapist/Exercise Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised (re-)habilitation programmes and individualised goals for people living with severe Acquired Brain Injury, in collaboration with clients, families and colleagues.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.
  • Support clients with cognitive and physical challenges, using a variety of evidence-based techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, families, and carers to ensure holistic care.
  • Contribute to case discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in in-service training and development programmes.

·       Support the ongoing development and expansion of the An Saol Foundation.

What We are Looking For

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in Physiotherapy, Exercise Science or equivalent. CORU registration, or evidence of a CORU application, where applicable. You must be legally entitled to live and work in Ireland.
  • Experience: Experience in neurology, neuro-rehabilitation or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork and organisational skills, together with knowledge of person-centred planning and goal setting. You will demonstrate initiative, drive, creativity and innovation.
  • Mindset: A client-centred and family-inclusive approach, with adaptability, patience and a desire to learn.
