Draft Regulations have been submitted to the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine which include legislation on physiotherapists working in animal practice.
The Policy on Registration for Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Practice with guidance on the application process – applications submitted prior to the implementation of the Veterinary Practice Act 2005 (Treatment by Non-Registered Persons) Regulations 2025 outlines the eligibility criteria for practising as a chartered physiotherapist in animal practice as determined by the Society and the process for applying to the chartered physiotherapists in animal practice Register held by the Society.
Applications are open for members with level 2 membership of Chartered Physiotherapists in Veterinary Practice (CPVP). Applications for level 2 tiered membership of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Practice (CPAPNG) will open shortly. Once a member has obtained level 2 tiered membership they are eligible to apply to the Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Practice Register held by the Society.
