The Board is responsible for the governance of the Society.
The Board comprises the Officers of the Society and other Directors. The Board of the Society has authority for, and is accountable to, the Society's members and the public. It has a duty to ensure that the Society is appropriately managed and is achieving the strategic objectives agreed by the Board.
The President is the head of the Board. At all times, the Board acts collectively. Board members are appointed for a fixed term after which time the member will retire or can be reappointed. The Board is obliged to meet at least 6 times a year (Article 4.12).
All members of the Board are Directors. Directors may delegate tasks to company employees and/or Society members who will report back to the Board.
