Who we are
The Chartered Physiotherapists in Scoliosis Management Niche Group (CPSMNG) is a professional subgroup of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). We are ISCP members and CORU-registered chartered physiotherapists with a specific interest and expertise in the assessment and management of scoliosis.
The aim of the CPSMNG is to advance high‑quality physiotherapy assessment and management of scoliosis by supporting physiotherapists to deliver evidence‑based, standardised care through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
What we do
- Facilitate a professional network to support communication and collaboration among physiotherapists involved in scoliosis management.
- Promote the standardisation of best practice in scoliosis assessment and management.
- Support and deliver education and CPD activities.
- Provide clinical and professional advice to the ISCP on matters relating to scoliosis.
- Highlight and support physiotherapy involvement in conservative, pre‑operative and post‑operative scoliosis care.
- Advocate for the role of physiotherapy in the management of all types of scoliosis.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and consultants involved in the care of people with scoliosis.
