Every member of the society is automatically a member of a branch. These are responsible for disseminating professionally relevant information on a local level and facilitate many of the society’s regional CPD offerings as well as providing networking opportunities to physiotherapists working in each region.
Clinical Interest Groups
The Society has 14 Clinical Interest Groups that members can join. These include the following clinical areas:
Acupuncture, Cardiac Services, Intellectual Disability, Musculoskeletal Therapy, Neurology & Gerontology, Orthopaedics, Occupational Health and Ergonomics, Oncology and Palliative Care, Paediatrics, Rheumatology, Respiratory Care, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Veterinary Physiotherapy, Women’s Health & Continence
Each group organises a number of CPD events each year targeted to their own clinical areas. By being a member of clinical interest group opportunities exist for developing mentoring relationships and developing your career within your chosen speciality.
The Society has 3 Employment Groups covering Community Care, Management and Private Practice. Each of these groups offers supports specific to these unique working environments.
